These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to all users who book or participate in cooking classes offered by Cucina della Nonna through the website cucinadellanonna.fi.

1. Description of the service

Cucina della Nonna offers:

  • Public cooking classes (e.g. fresh pasta, ravioli, pizza base)
  • Corporate team building and “Italian Pasta Experience” events

Classes typically take place in the kitchen of Central Library Oodi in Helsinki, Finland, unless otherwise indicated. Each session usually has a maximum of 8 participants.

2. Booking process

The booking process works as follows:

  • You submit a booking request through the online form on cucinadellanonna.fi.
  • We review availability for the chosen date, time slot and format.
  • If your request can be accepted, you receive a confirmation email with all details of the proposed class (date, time, location, format, number of participants).
  • Together with or after that confirmation, you receive a secure payment link to complete the reservation.
  • Your booking is considered confirmed only after the payment has been successfully completed via the payment link.

3. Pricing and payment

Typical price ranges are:

  • Public classes: approximately 65–75 € per person
  • Corporate / team building events: approximately 100–120 € per person

Prices always include the use of the kitchen, ingredients, tools and guidance during the entire class. Exact prices for your event will be communicated in the confirmation email.

All payments are made through a secure external payment provider using the link sent by email. We do not process or store your card or bank details on the cucinadellanonna.fi website.

4. Cancellations and refunds

4.1 Public classes

  • Cancellations made up to 48 hours before the start of the class may be fully refunded or rescheduled, depending on the situation.
  • For cancellations made less than 48 hours before the class, refunds are not guaranteed, but we may offer a reschedule where possible.
  • No-shows (without cancellation) are non-refundable.

4.2 Corporate / team building events

  • Cancellations made up to 5 days before the event may be refunded or rescheduled.
  • For cancellations made later than 5 days before the event, refunds are not guaranteed, due to preparation and ingredient costs.

Any specific cancellation terms or exceptions will be clearly mentioned in your confirmation email together with the payment link.

5. Changes and cancellations by Cucina della Nonna

We may need to change or cancel a class in case of, for example:

  • Unavailability of the Oodi kitchen or the venue
  • Illness of the cook or staff
  • Insufficient number of participants to run a public class
  • Other events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure)

In such cases, we will contact you as soon as possible and offer an alternative date, a different format or a refund, depending on the circumstances.

6. Participant responsibilities

By joining a class, you agree to:

  • Follow all safety and hygiene instructions given by the cook and staff
  • Inform us in advance about allergies or important dietary restrictions
  • Use kitchen equipment with care and respect
  • Arrive on time so the class can start and finish as planned

You are responsible for your own behaviour during the class. We are not liable for accidents or injuries resulting from ignoring safety instructions, misuse of tools or inappropriate behaviour.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cucina della Nonna is not liable for:

  • Loss or damage to personal belongings brought to the class
  • Injuries caused by careless handling of knives, hot surfaces or other kitchen tools against instructions
  • Delays or cancellations caused by the venue (e.g. Oodi Library restrictions) or other force majeure events

8. Use of the website

The content on cucinadellanonna.fi (texts, photos, graphics, recipes) is for personal use only. You may not copy, redistribute or use it for commercial purposes without prior written consent.

9. Privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. By sending a booking request or participating in a class, you acknowledge that you have read that policy.
